This package consists of the nymphs I use most often when guiding and really should get you into fish no matter what time of year you're out there. I will fish these on a Hopper Dropper rig, a Deep Nymph Indicator set up, or even as a single fly set up with no indicator, wet fly style on the swing.

For rigging and presentation options check out our guiding website for some helpful tips. We'll always recommend you figure out what depth you need, before you change your fly pattern. If everything else is right but the fish can't see your bug or it's too far away to be worth the energy, a depth change is often magical.

Rigging Options and Presentation Tips

2 Tungsten Bead Pheasant Tails sizes 14,16

Pheasant Tails are a classic bug that imitate almost anything. Caddis Pupa, a variety of Mayfly Nymphs and in larger sizes even Stone, and Damsel Fly Nymphs. Actually, you could catch fish if this was the only nymph you ever used.

2 Tungsten Bead Prince Nymphs sizes 14,16

Another Classic. I'll use this as a small stone in the summer, or a backswimmer/boatman in the fall. Otherwise I will randomly throw it on if things are slow.

2 Tungsten Bead Brown Hares Ear sizes 14,16

My absolute favourite Caddis Pupa imitation. If I'm nymphing with guests during May-July during peak Caddis time on the Bow, I have one of these on the rig. The material becomes dark when wet and it just produces fish for us.

2 Tungsten Bead, Olive, Brown Perdigon sizes 14,16

Perdigon patterns are great slim line bugs that help you get down in the zone right away. I like the Brown with green flash body and use it often. However, I really believe it's just the design getting these guys where you need them quickly that makes them deadly. I like these on warmer days when I need to get right down to the cooler water and stay down there for entire drift. Typically they are the point fly in the rig.

2 Tungsten Bead Lightning Bug Silver Green, sizes 14,16

This is one of those goofy attractor patterns I like on high cloud days or even blue bird, no bugs hatching, days. It's got flash and really will work well at depth. Fish seem to respond to it in clear water and I often have it on in later summer months or early fall.

2 Frenchie's Copper Collar, sizes 14,16

This is another low profile buggy attractor pattern that seems to imitate whatever I need it to. I always have plenty of rust bodies with a copper collar.
