The Golden Stone Hatch is short around here. Typically 3 weeks around the 2nd week of July is when they're most active and we're up with the sun to experience the best active feeding on these big bugs. The nymphs are always in the water, on the bottom, for roughly 2 years before they crawl on the banks to hatch. You can fish a Stone Nymph anytime water levels rise as they get washed away from their holds. 

We also get a pretty decent skwala stone hatch in early spring and fishing these patterns as a dry dropper set up can be killer with either hatch.
